Pocket Knife
This 500 square foot apartment in Jersey City, NJ proves that you don´t need a lot of space or a giant budget to have big style. The unique transforming plan was inspired by the folding blades and tools of a pocket knife. The decorating scheme includes some unusual early and mid 20th century vintage furniture.
Design Tip: Dark floors help give a feeling of greater height in this apartment with a low eight foot ceiling. We used low cost “common oak” strip flooring and stained it with Minwax Black Walnut covered with three coats of water based matte polyurethane.
